This summer, I tried the Timeleft app for the first time. I had seen ads for it on Instagram last year, but it was only available in Stockholm at the time. https://timeleft.com/

After creating an account and completing a personality test, the app matches you with a group for dinner at 7 PM on a specified Wednesday evening. 


It's fascinating because, for a small fee, the app easily organizes a meal out with new people. Thanks to this, I managed a spontaneous mini-trip involving dinner and a walk in Copenhagen on a weekday evening!

Even better, the last Wednesday of the month offers free admission to several museums in Copenhagen! I thought, "It's a shame to come all this way just to eat," so I squeezed in a museum visit, too.

I was a bit nervous since it was my first time using a social gathering app like this, but I was surprised at how relaxed and comfortable the atmosphere was. Meeting people in my age group, sharing a meal, and taking a relaxed walk through Copenhagen felt like a mini-vacation, even though it was just a regular weekday evening.

Christmas lunch in Sweden (Julbord)

Hi, I am Yulie. Today, I will write about Julbord in Sweden. Julbord, literally meaning Christmas table , is Sweden’s version of the holiday feast. Typically, Herring dishes – pickled in mustard, onion, or dill. Salmon and cold fish – gravlax, smoked salmon, and roe. Cold meats – Christmas ham ( julskinka ), pâtés, and sausages. Warm classics – meatballs ( köttbullar ), small sausages ( prinskorv ), and Janssons frestelse (a creamy potato-and-anchovy casserole). Game and roasts – ribs, roasted meats, or lutfisk (dried cod). Cheese and accompaniments – crispbread, butter, and salads.
