The £93 Prague Package: 3-Day Ultra-Budget Trip Review from Sweden

Hello everyone, I'm Yulie!

This August, while enjoying the brief summer in Sweden, I impulsively booked a 2-night, 3-day trip to Prague after seeing a deal pop up on a Last Minute app! The price for the air-hotel package was truly unbelievable: £93.55 (approximately 1,300 SEK / $115 USD)—sometimes spontaneity is the best part of life!

Accommodation & Location Hack

My hotel was near the Old Town, which made the trip incredibly easy. I was about a 5-minute walk from the Astronomical Clock! Since Prague is such a walkable city, your accommodation location is key.

My trip was essentially: Drinking local beer, and walking everywhere through the city centre and main sights.

Prague Highlights (My Walking Tour)

I covered all the must-see spots on foot:

  • The National Museum

  • Old Town Square & Astronomical Clock

  • Charles Bridge

  •  The Kafka Head (Franz Kafka's rotating statue)
  • The Jewish Museum

Other visually appealing spots I saved from @timeforprague_ on Instagram.

The Beer Strategy (The Swedish Contrast)

The saying that beer is cheaper than water in the Czech Republic was practically true! I rarely go out for a drink in Sweden because of the high cost, so I was thrilled by the Prague beer prices. The Pilsner Urquell draft beer alone was reason enough to travel!

Essential Walking & Budget Tips

  • Footwear: The Old Town is paved with cobblestones, so comfortable walking shoes are mandatory.

  • Water: Buy water in large bottles at a grocery store (Potraviny); prices around tourist attractions are inflated.

  • Dining: Mix local restaurants with pubs for dinner to save money.

Final Verdict
